Three months since the move to Totnes and relocating the head office into the heart of the town, we are already working with a network of local businesses and residents and enjoying being fully ensconsed in the local community. From our delightful office hidden in true Totnes style down a little alleyway in the middle of Fore Street, the first job was to find a new member of staff to help us run the office.
“We were delighted to find Caroline Godwin very soon after we moved into Totnes,” comments Miles. “She has lived in the area for over 20 years and coincidentally had studied Surveying at the same university as me and wanted to get back into Property after years working in other industries. She has settled into the company brilliantly and is a great asset.
One of the advantages of moving to Totnes was being able to support local business as much as possible and we are now working with accountants from Darnells’ Totnes office; Bartons solicitors have been doing our legal work; TQ9 Print and Design handle all our printing; Marvellous PR run by Totnes resident Lucy Matthews does our PR. We had the wonderful Totnes catering company, The Kitchen Table, run by Sima Cutting catering for our official launch party last month and the ever efficient Day Signs printing our new boards and signs,” he said.
Miles, Nicki and their son moved to Totnes 10 years ago, and as they are keen tennis players, they really wanted to support Totnes Tennis Club in some way.
“When we found that the club was in real need of sponsorship, as it has taken over from the council and is responsible for maintaining its four hard courts in Borough Park, we felt we would be a perfect fit. We were delighted to be able to provide funds to help their plans for expanding the juniors’ training programme and upgrading the facilities,”.
