Approached via a private drive this late Victorian house offers spacious family accommodation with a pretty enclosed garden, garage and parking. Surrounded by the rolling fields of the South Hams it is in an idyllic yet convenient location.
Having been refurbished to a high standard by the current owners the property still retains many period features with original doors and flooring. With oil central heating, a log burner in the living area and double glazing throughout, the house is cosy in the winter and cool in the summer.
Entered through a large entrance porch with steps up to either side, there are 2 doors, one leading to the downstairs bedroom (possible annex) and one to the living room. This lovely room is bright and airy with large picture windows overlooking the garden and fields beyond. With characterful original wood flooring and a log burner, this is the perfect place to watch the sun set in the evening. An arch leads through to the dining room which has the benefit of a feature log burner in the double sided fireplace. With original wooden floors a door leads to the south facing conservatory which provides access to the garden.
A door from the dining room leads to the tiled hall where the original front door with characterful covered stone porch opens into the garden. The kitchen/breakfast room beyond is fully tiled with country style kitchen, wooden work surfaces and lovely views. There is a fitted Bosch electric oven, ceramic hob, space for fridge/freezer and plumbing for washing machine and dishwasher.
From here a door leads to a large double bedroom/home office with a dressing area and ensuite shower room. There is a door to the entrance porch which can make this area self-contained.
On the first floor are 2 large double bedrooms with views over the garden and countryside and a further single bedroom. The family bathroom has great character with lime washed floor boards, bath and hand basin set in an antique drawer unit and WC.
The house is approached via a private driveway to a parking area for approx. 3 cars. There is a large garage with electric doors off which is a storage room. A pathway leads to the side of the house to a level walled rear south facing garden laid mainly to lawn.
