The property is located just off the centre of this popular Blackdown Hills village with its well known ‘gastro’ pub and thriving community hall and within 1 mile of the neighbouring village of Buckland St Mary with primary school and Church. The Blackdown Hills are a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the landscape surrounding Flossy Brook is very much one of an unchanging agricultural nature with undulating fields, woodland and small copses.
The traditional market towns of Chard, Ilminster and Honiton are all within easy reach and the County Town of Taunton is some 8 miles to the North. Taunton offers a wide range of commercial, leisure and educational facilities with good choice of both independent and state schools, easy access to the M5 motorway and inter city rail link (London Paddington). The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is about 20 miles to the South at Lyme Regis with its renowned Cobb Harbour, specialist shops and leisure activities.

The Village of Bishopswood is located about 1 mile north of the A303. Approaching on the A303 from the Chard or Ilminster side proceed in a Westerly direction from Eagle Cross and after about 0.5 mile turn right to Bishopswood by the Old Toll House. Proceed downhill into the village, uphill past the pub and then take the second turning on the left. You will see a sign for Flossy Brook on your left hand side.
