Tregonhawke, Whitsand Bay, Cornwall

As you walk down the Cliff Path towards the beach after a couple of minutes you find Talland View nestled into the gorse hillside. The first thing you notice as you go through the wooden gate and down the steps to the property are the absolutely stunning sea and coastal views which emanate from the ample property and plot probably the best position on Tregonhawke Cliff!

You enter the property from the rear into a small hallway where there is a useful cupboard which houses the fuse boxes, and where there are wooden steps up to the restricted height sleep loft with considerable storage beyond.

The main bedroom is directly ahead and benefits from large windows to appreciate the incredible view. There are raised cupboards and a wardrobe also housing the water tank. A door leads into the en-suite shower room which is fully tiled and has a heated towel rail . Bedroom 2 again benefits from the stunning views directly out to sea and has built in wardrobes. Across the hallway there is a family bathroom with bath/shower which is fully tiled, and also has a heated towel rail.

From the hallway a door leads into the dual aspect reception/dining room, with vaulted ceiling and hardwood maple flooring. This room is exceptionally light, bright and impressive with floor to ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of the sea and coastline from multiple seating areas. The adjoining kitchen area being in a U shape is well contained whilst allowing for full interaction with family or dinner guests, al fitted throughout with floor and wall units and integrated white goods and Zanussi electric hob & oven. The whole room, including the dining area, is configured towards a relaxed and tranquil Cornish life style.

From here there is access into a cosy sun -room/study which is a glorious suntrap with views towards the beautiful Rame Head Peninsular. A Sliding door leads onto the decked entrance porch which is sheltered from the ocean breezes by large glazed panes. This is the perfect place to sit with an early morning coffee and watch the waves crashing onto the broad sandy beach below.

The property is wrapped around by the garden, which has been carefully planted to minimise maintenance and to blend and work well in a seaside environment. There is a large decked and totally private area perfect for al fresco dining with uninterrupted infinity views directly out to sea. Landscaped walls incorporate flower beds which blend with the natural rocky outcrops partially covered with coastal flowers and fauna. Stone steps lead to a raised seating area, a perfect spot for a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset.

To the sea side of the garden is a lawn, and a gravel path runs around the back of the property. There is a useful large garden shed and further covered storage areas at the rear of the property. By the gate is a seldom used footpath which leads down to the beach.

Tregonhawke is a small hamlet at Whitsand Bay on the Rame peninsula an area known as Cornwalls Forgotten Corner. Nearby is the house, gardens and deer park of the Mount Edgecumbe Estate with its amazing walks and famous camelia collection. The A38 is a short drive from Tregonhawke offering easy access to the rest of Cornwall including the Eden Project and the North coast.
